Information you choose to provide
When you join Early Access, we collect your email address. After signup, you may optionally share a ZIP code, party-size range, possible use cases, expected visit frequency, expected hourly price range, travel-distance range, and comments. You can skip the survey and still remain on the Early Access list.
If you use the contact form, we collect your email address, message, and an optional name. If paid Founding Membership is later enabled, our payment provider will collect payment details; Next Place will receive transaction identifiers and membership status, not full card numbers.
Attribution and site activity
We create a random visit identifier in browser memory and may record the landing page, source, campaign parameters, referrer hostname, coarse device category, and timestamps. We use this information to understand which pages and campaigns lead to signup. The visit record does not contain your email, raw IP address, or raw browser user-agent string.
After you submit an email, we create a functional lead-session cookie so you can continue or resume the optional survey and express Founding interest without re-entering your email. This cookie is not created before signup and is not used for third-party advertising.
Analytics choices
We use PostHog for limited, manually named product events such as page views, form states, survey progress, and FAQ interactions. Analytics are configured for memory-only persistence, with autocapture, session replay, and person profiles disabled. We do not send email addresses, ZIP codes, survey comments, or contact messages to analytics.
We honor the browser’s Do Not Track signal by not starting analytics when it is enabled. Because this analytics configuration does not place analytics cookies, we do not show a cookie banner solely for analytics.
Security and abuse prevention
We use validation, same-origin checks, hidden bot fields, request limits, and—if enabled—Cloudflare Turnstile to protect public forms. For rate limiting, a short-lived keyed hash derived from network information may be stored in a time bucket. We do not retain a raw IP address in that rate-limit record.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. We limit direct database access, restrict administrative functions, and use service providers designed to support secure transmission and storage.
How information is used
We use information to operate Early Access, deliver launch and booking announcements, understand demand in broad terms, respond to messages, maintain membership records if enrollment opens, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the service, and comply with legal obligations.
First-touch attribution is preserved so we can understand how someone first found Next Place. A later interaction may update the latest-touch source. Duplicate signup does not create a second lead record.
Service providers and disclosure
We use vendors to host the site, store records, send email, process payments if enabled, provide privacy-limited analytics, and protect forms. These may include Netlify, Supabase, Resend, Stripe, PostHog, and Cloudflare. They process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy commitments.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.
Email and your choices
Early Access email is limited to meaningful concept, launch, and booking updates. Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe. An unsubscribe ends marketing delivery but we may retain a minimal suppression record so the opt-out remains effective.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with your email, subject to records we must retain for security, transactional, or legal reasons. Submit a request through the contact form; we may need to verify that you control the relevant email address.
Retention, children, and changes
We retain lead and survey information while the concept is active and the information remains useful, unless you request deletion or a longer period is required for legal, security, suppression, or transaction records. Short-lived session tokens and rate-limit buckets expire on a shorter schedule.
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We may update this policy as the service and legal requirements change. A new effective date will appear here, and material changes may also be communicated through the site or email.
Contact
Use the Next Place contact form for privacy questions or requests. The private recipient address is intentionally not published on this site to reduce abuse. Include enough information for us to understand the request, but do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other highly sensitive information.
