Private karaoke planned for Portland, Maine
Next Place is planning bookable private karaoke rooms where your group controls the queue—and the only audience is the one you brought.
Launch, booking, and meaningful progress announcements. No purchase required.

Private by design
Karaoke still has the microphones, lyrics, and big finish. The difference is that the room belongs to your group.

Next Place is an early-stage idea, not an operating karaoke venue. This is the clearest picture of what has been developed, what is still hypothetical, and what would need to happen next.

The decision path
“I’m Pratham Patel. I graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2026 with a degree in computer science, and I help with day-to-day operations and guest service at my family’s motel. I’m testing this idea before committing to a venue or buildout. If Portland shows strong enough interest, I’ll use that evidence—and available family backing—to decide whether to take the next steps. Until then, this site will clearly separate plans from facts.”
Joining the list helps test the idea. It does not guarantee a venue, opening, or reservation.

Good questions, honest answers
Instead of singing on a public stage, your group books its own room. Inside, you choose songs together, use the room’s microphones and display, and sing only with the people you invited.

No. The point of a private room is that your audience is your own group. There is no public stage and no need to perform for a bar full of people.
